SIMULATE RESPONSIVE LAYOUT

WHAT IS THIS WIDGET FOR?

RESIZE THE BROWSER

At the Desktop layout, resize the browser. As soon as you reach the breakpoint the tablet layout shows up.

Then again, when you resize the page, the Phone layout shows up.

This way you can simulate a responsive site by using the Tablet and phone layouts in your Muse project.

When there is a page with a same name in all the layouts (Desktop, Tablet, Phone), if you  place the widget in all those pages, you can resize the page and the browsers shifts between the layouts like it is a responsive website.

You can place the widget on the Master pages, in all the layouts, so it applies to all the pages in the project (if you have the same site map on Desktop, Tablet and Phone)

Note that the widget does not create responsive layouts, it shifts through your Tablet and phone  layouts, if you already  have them in your project

FOR EXAMPLE

If this is the Desktop layout site-map:

 Tablet layout

 Phone layout

To have the widget working on all these pages (MAIN, Portfolio, Contact) you need to have the same page-names on other layouts:

MAIN

[A-Master]

EXISTING LAYOUTS

You can cancel out a layout if you do not have it.

For example:
If you design only the phone layout and the desktop layout but not the tablet layout, you need to uncheck the Tablet layout option.
BREAKPOINTS

By changing the breakpoint values, you can define when the tablet or phone layout shows up.

For example:
In this screenshot, the tablet breakpoint is 768 , so if you resize the page and the width of the browser gets to 768 pixels, the tablet layout shows up.
